Television has replaced the common perception of family. The fireman is now seen as a flamethrower, a destroyer of books rather than an insurance against fire. Books are considered evil because they make people question and think. The people live in a world with no reminders of history or appreciation of the past; the population receives the present from television.
Families exist and family life is strictly voluntary. Procreation is encouraged but not necessary. If a woman becomes pregnant she has every right to receive an abortion, and many people in this society have had numerous abortions. Others that desire to keep a child can opt for virtually painless cesarian sections to avoid the pain of natural childbirth.
Those that do not conform to the ignorance of society tend to disappear.
Life should just be enjoyed with comfort and pleasures.
