You are stuck in the Phallic Stage , the stage you are supposed to be in when you're 4-7 years old. In this stage it is time for figuring out what it means to be a girl/boy. You deal with fear for castration or penis-envy. Also as a boy you have to cope with the Oedipus-complex (being in love with your mother and hating your father) and as a girl you have to cope with the Elektra-complex (being in love with your father and hating your mother). In this phase a human learns morality, gender-identification and confidence.

Well, something went wrong here and resulted in a Phallic Fixation. The most important cause is divorce of your parents according to Freud. The successful resolution of the Oedipus/Elektra complex and the resulting identification process requires the presence of both parents. Sexual abuse and religious beliefs (telling you sex is wrong) are common causes too.

A fixation at this stage could result in puritanical beliefs, sexual deviancies (both overindulging and avoidance) and weak or confused sexual identity.
